The body of an adult male was discovered this morning in a city garbage truck that was taken to the Billings landfill. The police are “suspecting” foul play (assuming the man did not crawl into a city disposal bin and immediately die there). Informing the press was Billings Police Department official, Lt. Brandon Wooley.
Wooley claimed on social media, “BPD was notified by solid waste division that a body was located among trash in a city garbage truck at the city landfill.”
Detectives have since left the landfill, with BPD investigations division accomplishing its preliminary investigation. The police stated that the death investigation is “active and ongoing.”
According to reports, both the Billings Fire Department and police cars were at the scene shortly after the body was discovered.
