A couple who described themselves as “middle-aged, educated, and careful” wrote an angry letter to the owners of Red Rooster Artisan Bakery in Hamilton, Montana. While approaching the specialty restaurant, popular among local foodies and gourmands, the couple alleges noticing that no employees were wearing masks, and neither were customers required to wear one from the door to their table. The couple unleashed vitriol upon the owners, Keith and Gabrielle Stamper.
The angry couple wrote, “We are the couple who opened your door last week – and observed that not a one (sic) employee – nor any of the customers were wearing masks. We immediately left. We are middle-aged, educated, and careful. Your restaurant is ignoring the Governor’s mandate for mask-wearing. We will Not (sic) return, ever. We are also telling all our friends to boycott your business” (see below).
They ended the letter with, “Fu*% Trump.”

If that doesn’t sound like someone from Hamilton, Montana, just remember that there are a whole bevy of paid Democratic operatives from Vermont, flooding the area with “Pro Family PAC” fliers on behalf of Governor Bullock. It very well could have been one of them.
The bakery responded via Facebook, “First and Foremost, we will reiterate~ RED ROOSTER IS NOT ANTI MASK, Red Rooster simply respects and upholds the right of each individual to choose to mask or not to mask. Just as we respect your right to choose where you will and where you will not dine.
Secondly, if you are educated as you say, you would understand this is a *MANDATE, not a *LAW (the governor’s office themselves will give you this information* )
Thirdly, our local Sheriff and Health Officials are fully aware we support each persons right of choice. (We support law enforcement đź’Ż but that might bug ya too)
Fourth, we have had employees who mask and we fully support them, just as we support those who do not.
Fifth, we welcome each and every individual no matter your political stance, religious views, race, or gender.
Lastly for all the folks boycotting our business, there are 100’s more supporting.
IN SHORT, OUR BUSINESS IS THRIVING and we prefer not to have hate in our shop….so thank you for staying away.”
