Due Process: Plan Revealed to End Big Tech Censorship at State Level


Perhaps no other violation of a citizen’s rights is more egregious or more harmful than silencing their right to speak freely, even if you consider what they say to be hate speech.

In a time far removed from snail-mail and a wet stamp, today’s communication methods are robust, instant, and, unfortunately, mostly ran by Silicon Valley tech giants who relish the idea of censorship.

With the regulating agencies inside the federal government revealing their impotence daily, the current trend is for the individual states to take up the mantle of protecting free speech by commencing with legal action against the offenders.

Currently, Big Tech enjoys protection under section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (CDA). That being said, their protection is not limitless and certain provisions need to be followed in accordance with state law as illustrated below.

Nothing in this section shall be construed to prevent any State from enforcing any State law that is consistent with this section. No cause of action may be brought and no liability may be imposed under any State or local law that is inconsistent with this section.
