Great Falls Golf Course Hosting “Mask Burning Party”

Irritating some but earning applause from most, the Hickory Swing Golf Course in Great Falls is hosting a “mask burning party” on April 1st. It’s not an April Fool’s joke (we called and asked).

The 18-hole golf course nestled inside of Cascade County announced the party on their Facebook page. The sign promises live music by “Common Ground,” league sign-ups, barbeque, and – of course – mask burning. Additionally, the golf course is encouraging people to “dance with their mask off.”

Again, we reiterate, that it’s not an April Fool’s joke (unless they’re denying it). We presume these Montanans just want to have fun without the acoutrement of a completely unnecessary human exhaust cover. Good for them.

Common Ground is a Great Falls band comprised of Nikki Herzog-Peterson, Dusty Peterson, Logan Darlington, Richie Kapphan, and Luke Miller. You can see one of their videos here.

Meanwhile, if you’re near Great Falls on April 1, you might want to show support for this fantastic, Montana-style shindig. Enjoy the great outdoors and breathe freely.
