On April 8, Joe Biden issued an executive order that will outlaw “stabilizing braces” on AR-15 pistols without a $200 federal license and jumping through several fiery hoops. Biden’s ban will effectively outlaw such firearms under the National Firearms Act, which already regulates away short-barreled rifles and shotguns, as well as noise suppressors, without the exorbitant fee and background checks.
The ban followed on the heels of a mass shooting in Boulder, Colorado last month, which was perpetrated by an avid Biden supporter and leftwing activist.
Not to be deterred by unconstitutional laws, however, the Richland County Republican Central Committee is raffling an AR-15 pistol with a stabilizer brace. The pistol, provided through Black Robe Rifles of Sidney, originally didn’t have a stabilizer brace with it. However, Black Robe Rifles immediately furnished a brace for the pistol to be raffled at no extra expense, so a lucky Citizen will be able to take home a wonderful token of Montana-level liberty.
Black Robe Rifles owner, Jordan Hall of Sidney, sent a memo to the Gazette saying, “If Joe doesn’t want us to have it, I reckon we ought to have one. So I threw one in.”
Merrick Garland, Biden’s Attorney General, told the press in relation to Biden’s Executive Order that the ATF has not yet published the rule against stabilizing braces, but that it could be expected soon.
