Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen has hit the ground running as she approaches the completion of her first four months of service to the citizens of Montana. Although Jacobsen served as Deputy Secretary of State from 2017 until her election, her presence and influence have accelerated noticeably since she was sworn into office on January 4 of this year.
A Montana native, Jacobsen’s efforts since she has served in the Sec. of State’s office have always reflected Montana values coupled with old-fashioned horse sense. A combination that has gained wide attention within the party rank and file.
Most recently, Jacobsen published an open letter to the citizens of Montana pledging a commitment to protecting the integrity of elections while insisting on transparency throughout the voting process.
The continued efforts of Jacobsen and her staff paid dividends recently as Governor Greg Gianforte signed both Senate Bill 169 and House Bill 176 into law. Both measures are intended to preserve the integrity of elections in Montana.
Secretary Jacobsen joined Jim White recently on Montana Gazette Radio to discuss both of the voter integrity bills signed by Governor Gianforte and much more.
