A Critical Studies professor says white people are to blame when blacks attack Asians. This is the same ideology being taught in Bozeman Schools.
As the Montana Daily Gazette has previously reported, Critical Theory is being taught in the Bozeman Public Schools and is being promoted heavily by the Bozeman City Council. Critical Theory is an economic and cultural philosophy originating from the Frankfurt School of Marxism.
As a case-in-point for how insane this ideology is, a professor of Critical Studies from the University of Colorado-Boulder now claims that the recent spate of anti-Asian hatecrimes perpetuated by African Americans is the fault of “white supremacy.”
Professor Jennifer Ho’s editorial was entitled, “White supremacy is the root of all race-related violence in the US.” She was serious.
Written in The Conversation, Ho explained, “As the current president of the Association for Asian American Studies and as an ethnic studies and critical race studies professor who specializes in Asian American culture, I wanted to address the climate of anti-Asian racism I was seeing at the start of the pandemic.”
She went on to make a bold claim, “The point I’ve made through all of those experiences is that anti-Asian racism has the same source as anti-Black racism: white supremacy. So when a Black person attacks an Asian person, the encounter is fueled perhaps by racism, but very specifically by white supremacy. White supremacy does not require a white person to perpetuate it.”
Ho’s point is odd, considering that within the confines of Critical Theory, Asians and Jews are considered to have “whiteness” because they typically thrive in a minority environment. Meanwhile, Hispanics and homosexuals (no matter their ethnicity) are considered as having “blackness” because they are supposedly oppressed.
Critical Theory doesn’t have to make sense. It just has to be repeated by brainless college students who heard the theory from their professors. Ironically, Critical Theory has nothing to do with critical thinking.
How is it the fault of white people when black people attack Asians? Ho explains, “The dehumanization of Asian people by U.S. society is driven by white supremacy and not by any Black person who may or may not hate Asians.”
Ho claims that Trump blaming the Wuhan Flu upon the Chinese has led to the spate of Anti-Asian hatecrimes. Despite almost all of those crimes being committed by blacks (as the professor admits in her article), it’s the fault of white people for spreading the pretty accurate fact that COVID-19 started in China.
The professor concluded, “Understanding the depth and reach of this ideology of racism can be challenging, but doing so brings each person, and the nation as a whole, closer to addressing systemic inequity. It’s not Black people whom Asian Americans need to fear. It’s white supremacy.”
Of course, Kung Flu did originate in China, and most likely spread from a Chinese lab in Wuhan. If not, it originated a few blocks away at a market selling bats for food. Because white people have acknowledged this fact (although people of every ethnicity have also readily admitted this), it has prompted black people to attack Asians. Why white people aren’t attacking Asians also, Ho did not attempt to explain.
Bozeman, Montana…this is what is being taught to your kids and promoted by your city council.
