Native American Heritage Day Honors Boarding School Victims

    MISSOULA, Mont. — The governor and other dignitaries will hold a ceremony at the Native American Flag Pavilion in Helena on Friday, September 24, in recognition of Native American Heritage Day.

    At Montana State University, a panel discussion will take place on finding the remains of native children who died at boarding schools. The talk begins at 10:15 a.m., and a prayer walk for children starts at noon in front of the American Indian Hall.
