The Montana Daily Gazette has run several articles from young firebrand conservative, Dennison Rivera. At 32, he’s not as young as some representatives – Braxton Mitchell just to name one – and is a husband and family man. He’s also a staunch conservative and has earned the endorsement of the Montana Daily Gazette.
His op-ed, Op-Ed: Republicans Shouldn’t Use Their Race as Reason to Be Elected, was one of the finest opinion pieces we have ever published and has earned our endorsement whole heartily.
HELENA – Dennison Rivera launched his campaign for State House District 79 in Montana today. As a first-generation American, small business owner, dedicated husband, and someone who is passionate about his community, Rivera is thrilled to announce his candidacy as a Republican for State House District 79.
“The United States just witnessed a RED WAVE movement,” Dennison said. “We the people are ready to be heard. Parents are ready to be heard. Business owners are ready to be heard. Families are ready to be heard. And I’m ready to be their voice. I will be proud to be a voice for them and all the people of HD79. It’s time to take Helena back to common sense representation.”
Dennison is a proud first-generation American. His family came to the United States from Colombia and Honduras, countries with unresolved challenges such as high-income inequality and labor market informality. Rivera was taught to not take freedom and liberty for granted. Growing up in the land of opportunity, Dennison knows the importance of protecting the “American Dream.”
Today, many are wondering if that dream is even possible. The nightmare overreach of the American government has disrupted that beautiful dream. Dennison is ready to make sure that that dream is not taken away from those that live in Big Sky Country.
As your representative, Dennison will be a resounding voice for House District 79, defending small business owners who are facing the challenges, and the threat of increased regulations and higher taxes. Dennison believes that family is the most important institution in society, not the government. All life deserves protection. A vocal proponent of the School Officers Program, he will ensure that the State of Montana will continue to go above and beyond to keep our children safe. Rivera also believes that parents should have a voice in their children’s education.
For Dennison, the freedom that our nation offers is worth fighting for, so he devotes his time as the State Chairman of Montana Young Republicans, and the Lewis & Clark County Republican Central Committee Precinct Captain. He has worked tirelessly to educate our youth on American values.
