Christopher Lakey gave all of Flathead County a run for their money last night. Lakey had everyone on the move including S.W.A.T. who were spinning circles in one resident’s driveway Tuesday evening. Read last nights story (click here) where Montana Daily Gazette was the ONLY news source who published the story on Tuesday evening. Two Bear Air Helicopters were circling the area and drones were deployed.

“On Tuesday, January 18th, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Flathead County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to apprehend a wanted subject identified as Christopher Lakey during a traffic stop on Half Moon Road.
On Tuesday, January 18th, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Flathead County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to apprehend a wanted subject identified as Christopher Lakey during a traffic stop on Half Moon Road. The suspect fled and a police pursuit ensued, eventually entering the City of Whitefish on Edgewood Place. Whitefish Police assisted in the efforts and were able to deploy Spike Strips. The suspect’s vehicle was able to continue driving a short distance before becoming disabled on Wisconsin Avenue where the suspect fled on foot. Whitefish Police along with Flathead County Sherriff’s Office, Montana Highway Patrol, Northwest Regional SWAT team, and Two Bear Air conducted a search of the residential area East of Wisconsin Avenue. The suspect was located and apprehended this morning after receiving a report of a suspicious person from a residence in the area. Lakey was transported to Flathead County Detention Center with charges pending.”
