MISSOULA, Mont. — A handful of flights were delayed at the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport after an airplane burst a tire upon landing around 2 p.m. Wednesday.
According to airport president and chief executive officer Brian Sprenger, the Cessna Citation exited the runway into the grass. Still, it stayed within the runway safety area, which caused the runway to be closed until the plane could be moved.
No injuries were reported, and the runway reopened after the aircraft was moved out of the safety area around 3:15 p.m.
Sprenger said three inbound flights and three outbound flights were delayed 15 minutes up to an hour due to the closure.
